Cobham Estate Agent Raises £400 for Local Charity

cobham estate agent raises 400 for local charityDavies Property Partner's Managing Director, Gareth Davies (L) and Office Manager, Martine Finn (R) present Natasha Milner, Manager at Cancer Research UK (centre), with a £400 donation

Davies Property Partners has given the phrase ‘a licence to print money’ new meaning after donating the £400 it made by selling unwanted printer cartridges on eBay to Cancer Research UK’s Cobham shop.

A total of 10 printer cartridges were sold after the Elmbridge estate agent purchased new printers, none of which were compatible with the business’s existing ink stock, for its three offices in Cobham, Claygate and Hinchley Wood.

The idea was conceived by Martine Finn, Office Manager at Davies Property Partners in Cobham, whose mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021, and who lost her father and uncle to cancer in November.

On her successful fundraising campaign Martine comments: “Both my father and my uncle wanted people to donate to cancer charities instead of buying flowers, so directing the money we raised to a cancer charity was an easy decision to make. The team at Davies Property Partners have been really supportive and I’m delighted that they got behind my idea. It’s fantastic to be able to support the good work that Cancer Research UK continues to do. It’s also great to support a fellow high street shop, too.”

Natasha Milner, the Manager at Cancer Research UK in Cobham, adds: “We’re extremely grateful for Davies Property Partner's generous donation. Donations such as this enable the charity to continue with its important work and we’re thankful to have businesses such as Davies Property Partners in our community. On behalf of everyone who volunteers at the Cobham shop I’d like to say a big ‘thank you’ to Martine and her team.”
